SOULDEGA: What moved you to have YouTube become the platform for you to express yourself?

PAIGE: I’ve always been a shy person but none of my YouTube subscribers or social media followers would ever believe it. I love  how the platform allows me to connect with so many people all over the world, right from the comfort of my own home. I honestly just really enjoy creating content, from the planning all the way to the editing process. My only goal by sharing my life online has been to motivate and inspire others to also create a life that they love. At first, I felt so full from the idea that I’d helped even one person, so having been able to build a community of thousands still blows my mind to this day.

SOULDEGA: Do you ever feel the societal impact you make through your YouTube channel? If so how?

PAIGE: I receive beautiful direct messages, comments and emails from my subscribers almost every single day and it is such an amazing feeling. I never would have guessed that my videos would not only reach this many people but move them as well. I’ve been very vulnerable on my channel, from sharing my weight loss journey to moving abroad to London. We’ve laughed, we’ve cried - my subscribers who have been following me for a while have definitely been on a journey with me. I think people just enjoy watching someone they feel like they can relate to follow their dreams and it reminds them that they can very well do the same.

SOULDEGA: What is one of your most memorable moments you have experienced with a subscriber to your YouTube channel?

PAIGE: I have a lot of cool moments that I’ve shared with subscribers! One of my favorites was when I held my first meet up in London and about 20 of my subscribers showed up and we had a picnic in Greenwich Park. It was so cool to put faces to their social media handles. I’ve actually hung out and then gone of to become really good friends with a few of my subscribers as well. I’ve even traveled to Dublin, Ireland and Lisbon, Portugal with one of them. We made so many amazing memories and it’s still so crazy to me that we met because she simply enjoyed my vlogs and then decided to reach out.

SOULDEGA: What is your favorite and least favorite thing about being a Youtuber?

PAIGE: My favorite thing is all of the amazing people that I’ve been able to meet, both online and offline. My least favorite thing is having to ignore (sometimes I just can’t) the trolls who say really awful things in my comments. The positivity has always outweighed the negative though and I’m so grateful.

SOULDEGA: You take many of your viewers on your trips in the world with you, if there is one place in the world you would like to go next, where would it be?

PAIGE: Besides checking off more countries in Europe, I really want to visit Tokyo, Japan. I’ve watched so many vlogs on YouTube and now I can hardly wait until the day I get to visit!

SOULDEGA: Where do you see yourself taking your YouTube venture in the future?

PAIGE: I want to simply continue growing  my YouTube channel and online community. I’m excited about all of the content I’ll get to create in 2020 and I plan to continue trying new things and stepping further out of my comfort zone. I also have a very special project that I’m working on but people will just have to stay tuned. :)
